Raptors rule Major League

Glendale Raptors made it 2-from-2, topping Seattle SeaWolves, 19-15, at StarFire Arena Rugby Ground on Saturday evening. The aerial predators are in the ordering seat at table now, three points clear of their closest chasers.

Travelers’ flyhalf, Will Magie, got things started with a pair of sticksplitters early for a 6-nil Raptors advantage. First try to Raptors as Zach Fenoglio, Glendale’s #2, advanced the ball with a grubber and then collected same to touch down  and visitors had an 11-0 lead. A penalty by Canadian international Brock Staller for the Wolves and tallies of 11 and 3 for Glendale at the half.

Wing threequarters Harley Davidson dotted next for Glendale and 16-3 the scoreline in the second stanza. A try converted to goal by Staller made it 16-10 heading to the final 10 minutes of the contest.

Magie notched his third penalty for 19-10. Last try to SeaWolves at the death made for a record of 19-15 to Glendale at the last whistle.

Raptors go to Utah next to test the Warriors mettle on Sunday. The match will be broadcast live on AT&T SPORTSNET, ESPN+
