Rocky Mountain Rugby Roundup – By the Numbers – MDs, 10.3

MD-2: The Red Division
               14           -try Barbarians, 5 grounded by hooker, Eric Bloedorn, and Barbos got the fiver past Harlequins at the Cooker, 90-14;
               22           -nil for home side by three-quarters of the way through the first 40 on a brace by blindside, Rocco Petramula and 1 by 15, Brian Dutill – Petramula’s converted by 5, Sean Welfare, and 9, Adam Price, added a penalty – and Highlanders derailed Boulder at the Jake, 27-21; 3 yellows in the affair that made it seem like 10-minute seats were a good thing

Park City Haggis were idle

               Boulder Rugby (11) v (5) Park City Haggis at PleasantView: Boulder’ll be itching to get back to winning ways after last weekend’s wakeup at the Jake; the most esteemed rugby meal on the planet could very well perform the table leap from third to first with doubly-tapped joy this weekend! MD-3: The White Division
               10           -try Northern Colorado Flamingos took sole possession of the ordering seat at the D-3 Table with 60-32 defeat of Littleton Eagles; 20 on account for Flamingos 12, Bryan Schroeder, on a brace of dots and 5 conversions; Lyon’s Look – “NOCO totally dominated...  Got 2 penalty tries: 1 for pushing down a winger who had kicked ahead; the other I've never seen before--the referee awarded a penalty try for bitching at him! go you, Sir! -ed. NOCO scrum took 2 against the head and pushed Eagles back all game...  pretty much the same at lineouts.  Littleton are good at poaching rucks and did it at least 4 times, 2 instances where it led to tries.  Backs were pretty even, but NOCO tackling was better and support was always there.  NOCO 2nd try must have been handled by at least 6 players.” 
               5             trys by Lumberjacks 12, Tani Lolohea, and Laramie earned its initial victory of the season in a 51-31 demonstration over Colorado Springs Grizzlies in Wyoming;

Queen City Rams were idle in the League

 Laramie Lumberjacks (6) v (10) Queen City Rams in Wyoming: wotcher, Rams; Lumberjacks coming off of the large win and inside center, Tani Lolohea, looks to be juggernaut-like;

MD-4: The Blue Division
               25           for Queen City 10, Lewis McKissick, on 1 hat-trick of trys and 5 conversions as Rams held off a determined Marauders XV on the trot, 35-33;

               5             table points for Colorado Rush as Fort Carson, evidently, have forfeited their schedule;... : (

               5             also for Denver Barbarians in their 43-7 hiding of Harlequins at the Cooker;
               0             information as we go to post from: Highlanders v Boulder, Barbos v Quins, nor NorCo v Littleton and Laramie v C-Springs so there’ll be no table set this week : (
