Six Nations Round 2 Preview: Scotland v Ireland

 Preview: Scotland v Ireland

Only change in the Ireland threequarters is Rob Kearney, returned from injury, at fullback. Injury last weekend to backrow lock, CJ Stander, puts Leinster 8man Jack Conan at the rear of the pack.

Only change in the Scotland threequarters is the return of flyer, Sean Maitland, to the wing, which puts hat-trick-man Blair Kinghorn on the bench. Injury to WP Nel has NZ native and Edinburgh prop, Simon Berghan, replacing the SA-born front row at tighthead. Jonny Gray is back in the engine room for Vern Cotter's XV as well.

Scots are riding it, after the fine win last week, but Ireland is no Italy. The Irish were strutting about the playground with a swagger all their own after defeat of the All Blacks in November, before getting knocked sideways in Dublin last weekend by the Auld Enemy (pretty much everyone’s AE), and they’ll look to return to form in a Six Nations campaign not yet gone completely awry, though it may go there if visitors don’t get the result today.

It appears the off-and-on spigot in the sky will remain off for the contest, but a gusty breeze may affect anything off the boot and residual moisture roundabout Murrayfield may yet factor in handling... game on inna couple!
