Upcoming Major League Rugby, 3.2.19

Upcoming Major League Rugby North America
Saturday, 3.2:
               Houston SabreCats (6) v (8)  New York United in Texas, 6pm MST: home team is on two losses running and would like to reverse that trend while New York experienced its first loss last weekend in Seattle and should like the win; Houston must shore up its defense or United will do what the Arrows did last outing; high 60s for kickoff and a chance of rain, but it’s been raining in Houston this week so the ground could be greasy;

               Glendale Raptors (10) v (12) Toronto Arrows in the Kettle at Infinity, 7pm MST: first home match of the season for Raptors after four out of town dates, for the Arrows it will be their fifth road fixture; in their four matches, the clubs have three common opponents and they’ve both lost to NOLA and Seattle, while beating Austin; Glendale are just out of the playoff frame just now while Toronto are just in it; a win for the home XV will see them overtake their guests and pop into fourth on the chart, the final extra time slot; a travelers triumph would put them right up there in the loft with Legion, ‘Wolves and Gold; near guarantee of precipitation for the match, and at predicted temperatures in the high 20s, it’ll be snow that’s brought on by a frisky north wind; one should drink, errh dress, accordingly;

               Utah Warriors (6) v (17) NOLA Gold in Herriman, 7pm MST: this will be rock ‘em, sock ‘em rugby of the highest order; victory for the visitors puts them back in first place, while a Warriors win gets them double-digit table points; Gold have the league’s most prodigious offense, tallying a bit more than 5 converted trys-per-match, while their hosts on the RugbyDay have allowed the league’s least on an average of under 19; something is bound to give; rain-sleet-snow forecast may have ended by kickoff, but it’s meant to be a daylong meteorological event…
