Super Rugby Round 11 Preview

Super Rugby Round 11
Preview: 4.26-4.27

Crusaders, after their loss in Sydney, are back on winning ways and outscoring their opposition at a nearly 2:1 clip; Hurricanes, a bit more than a bonus-point win adrift the frontrunners, second in New Zealand and with the second greatest cumulative match points haul, are yet fourth in the overall standings due the preferential placement of the other two conference leaders; that pair, Bulls and Rebels, lead a pack of nine all within a five-point win of one another; there are three clubs, Reds Highlanders and Chiefs, just behind that group and SunWolves guard the rear.

Friday, 4.26:
               Crusaders (34) v (18) Lions at the AMI, Christchurch - 1:35am MST: travelers would like their second consecutive win in the Land of the Long White Cloud, but it will be tough ask as their hosts are unlost at their citadel; clear, mid-50s with some wind;

               Sunwolves (11) v (18) Highlanders at Chichibu, Tokyo - 4am MST: home boys yet smarting from their come from behind loss last week and will be looking to rectify that badness; visitors on a one-match road trip north of the equatorial hoop and could potentially gain a playoff spot with a win here and some help from those in front of them; rain will make for slippy conditions;

Saturday, 4.27:
                Hurricanes (27) v (17) Chiefs at Westpac, Wellington - 1:35am MST: travelers without their ignition key for the remainder of the year with Damian McKenzie off for the duration, so... showery, way windy and cool in the low 60s for the match;

               Waratahs (20) v (22) Sharks at Western Sydney Stadium - 3:45am MST: travelers looking to shake a pair of recent home losses, but they’ll have to do it against the side that knocked back conference headboy, bloody insurgents, last time out; 50s, some clouds and an outside shot at rain in the new venue;

               Stormers (19) v (23) Bulls at Newlands, Capetown - 7:05am MST: homeys got hammered on the High Veld to open their 2019 campaign and will like to reply in kind here; Los Toros coming off a win and a bye and leading the bracket right now, though that could change if they’re unsuccessful on the trot in Capetown today; sunny and 60s with some wind;

               Jaguares (19) v (19) Brumbies at José Amalfitani, Buenos Aires - 3:40pm MST: both clubs behind the playoff pace by a single table point; upper 60s, little wind with cloud cover at the open air venue;

Blues, Rebels, Reds on the bye
