Super Rugby Round 14 - Preview: 5.17-18

Super Rugby Round 14: Preview 5.17-5.18

Crusaders yet the headliners, better than a bonus-point victory than their nearest chasers, Hurricanes, and nearly four b-p wins over the other conference leaders. Three NZ, three SA and two OZ clubs in the playoffs frame just now

Friday, 5.17:
               Hurricanes (40) v (28) Jaguares at Westpac, Wellington - 1:35am MST: only home loss this year for ‘Canes to league leaders, but Sleek Cats have been successful twice on the trot this season; sunny and low 50s, no rain, minimal wind;

               Rebels (28) v (28) Bulls at AAMI Park, Melbourne - 3:45am MST: home boys would like the conference lead back and that can happen with a happy today as the Mob are idle; ditto-esque their guests regards SA conference headboys, Big Fish; a gong-banger of the highest level and M-o-W; 60, no rain, little wind;

Saturday, 5.11:
               Blues (21) v (23 ) Chiefs at Eden Park, Auckland - 1:35am MST: both XVs are struggling and the outcome of this could very well dictate the complexion of each clubs' remaining schedules; no desperation now, but actually yes, yes there is; other M-o-W; low 60s, no rain, fair westwind;

               Reds (23) v (22) Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane - 3:45am MST: see above, each must win, though the ordering seat at the Australian Conference table is far closer than the spread in the Land of the...; other-other M-o-W; upper 60s, no rain, little wind;

               Lions (26) v (29) Highlanders at Ellis Park, Jo’Burg - 7am MST: both are coming off tight, formative victories last weekend; homeys looking to feature themselves in the extra time frame with joy; this’ll be telling for travelers; this too, would be an M-o-W;  low 60s, no rain, breezy;

               Stormers (24) v (47) Crusaders at Newlands, Capetown - 9:15am MST: hosts will like to stem the onrushing red and black tide, but it’ll be hard work; visitors must feel confident, riding high on their High Veld demolition job last weekend; high 50s, no rain, not much wind;

Brumbies on the bye
