2019 RWC: On to Semis

RWC Quarterfinals - Day 2
Much closer contests than the blowouts of yesterday:
France ran out to a 19-10 lead at the end of the first forty minutes of action, but were rendered impotent in the last half and Wales doubled down for the 20 - 19 victory and semifinal berth. Les Bleus were looking the abso business through the first 50 minutes, throttling the expansive Welsh three-quarters and sitting pretty on a two-score advantage. At ’50, a red shown by field magistrate Jaco Peyper to New Caledonian native and engine roomee, Seba Vahaamahima, had France down a man for the duration, Wales on the advantage then and fire laid in the belly of the Red Dragon so that, after a 55th minute Dan Biggar sticksplitter made tallies of 19 and 13, Dave Navidi’s 75th minute touch down, and moreover its conversion by the critically-needed 80-minute man, Biggar, made the result.
Only ahead 5-3 at the break, South Africa opened up the Japan innards for 26 - 3 ultimate advancement; Springbok 10, Handre Pollard, punished opponent ill-discipline with a trio of sticksplitting penalties and 'Boks grounded thrice.
